After his degree, Paolo specialised in sports physiotherapy at the University of Pisa (Italy) and in Osteopathic techniques for MSK pathologies at the University of Salamanca (Spain). In September 2018, he started a Masters degree in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Salford (UK).
Paolo has worked for many musculoskeletal private clinics in Italy and the UK before joining one2one in 2018. He has developed an interest in sports injuries thanks to his experience with sport teams. He has worked for football and basketball teams in Italy and Spain, been head-physiotherapist at Cambridge Rugby Club and Academy physiotherapist at Ipswich Town FC. He is currently working full-time as an Academy physiotherapist at Swansea City AFC.
As well as his special interest in sports injuries, Paolo has also worked with dental practices as a TMJ physiotherapist. He has helped many patients with chronic jaw pain, Jaw click, headaches, ear discomfort and bruxism. This particular area of physiotherapy has seen a growing interest in the medical community thanks to the latest scientific evidences.
Travelling and learning everything about different cultures are 2 of his main interests outside of work. Paolo speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish and has also got a beginners knowledge of French and Portuguese.
Sport has always been an important part of his life and practicing many sports over the years helps him understanding the different requirements and demands of each sport. He is an experienced runner, but he is trying to move to triathlon because of his past as a swimmer. When he is not training for a specific event, he is keen to play football or racquets sports with friends.
